Whew! Thank you for saying "expect" joy, Robert. I think I've come to the point where I've learned to accept joy when it comes but I'm still working on expecting it. There's a part of me that worries that expectation will mean more loss, more rejection, more disappointment. But I suppose expecting good in the midst of those "voices" that say otherwise is the true journey of faith.
I love this post. I am currently, really doing the work to both accept joy, and expect joy. Without waiting for the bad to come.
