Hey Family:
If you are like me, it’s easy to turn your healing journey into another thing on the to-do list to check off. And yes, I’m a proponent of scheduling self-care and having a daily practice. But healing? Ooowee, healing moves at its own pace, y’all.
Some days, I feel like I’m regressing. Maybe I was triggered or maybe that nasty critic has camped out in my head. I’ve come to realize the importance of shifting my perspective in those moments. I can’t approach this journey as if I will get to some arbitrary point where I’m never confronted with my “stuff.” No, healing simply means I have the TOOLS to deal with whatever shows up. I’m on a mission to gather as many tools and resources as I need in the various seasons of my life in order to live free, with joy, and as the worthy child of God I am.
Sooo…let’s crowdsource. What tools have been important to you on your healing journey?
Love y’all,

“Healing is an art. It takes time, it takes practice. It takes love.”

My faaaaaaavorite tool is my journal. I always have a journal with blank pages for me to pour my soul onto. I've been journaling my pain and my junk, my hopes and my joys, my prayers and my questions for a long time. Anyone who is starting on any deepening of self-awareness or healing-focused journey the first thing I'm gonna ask is if they have a journal!
