Hey there, Family!
When I tell you I know how to tell a story?! Whew! I’m a storyTELLER. But here’s the thing: the stories I tell aren’t always in books. Sometimes they are the narratives I craft in my mind about myself and others...the ones taught to me by my trauma. Stories like:
“I’m not enough.”
“I’m too much.”
“I’m not worthy.”
“I have to perform for love.”
These stories are not only false, they are devastating to my mind, body, and spirit when I set them on repeat and act out different versions of them over and over. The stories I’ve bought into show up in the choices I make, the relationships I have, and how I take care of this body I’ve been gifted.
So let’s turn the page, y’all, and write something new and true. Tell a different story about who you are. Craft a narrative that affirms your worth.
You are enough.
You are not TOO much.
You don’t have to perform for love.
What happens to the rest of your life’s book when you throw in THAT plot twist?!
Glorious things, I’m sure.
Love y’all. 💜

I have an online course, y’all.
Yeah, yeah, I know it seems like everybody does.🤣🤷🏾♀️
But honestly, back in 2020 when I created the “SO YOU THINK YOU CAN WRITE?!” mini-course, I really just wanted to provide something that would help the person who thinks they have a story to tell and has been wanting to write that story, but who finds themselves not knowing “where to start.” I’ve been teaching writing for a very long time and I firmly believe there are some things to consider regarding our mindset BEFORE we open our laptops and notebooks and start writing our stories for possible publication. (Not talking about journaling here…please journal away. As much or as little as you need or want to). Intention and perspective matters and this mini-course helps you figure out yours as well as develop a plan for getting started.
So here’s my spiel: If you are an aspiring writer looking for a starting place, I have a great one. In this online mini-course, you will learn what it means to develop a voice, decide on a genre, consider an audience, and set some writing goals—all with the eye toward helping you shift your mindset and COMMIT to your writing. And this is all done at your own pace in an asynchronous format!
MY intention is to help you go from TALKING ABOUT writing your book or essay to putting together a plan to ACTUALLY write it!
And yes, I have a code. 😄 To get 50% off the $59 course fee, use WRITE23 when you checkout.
